Hello Marlen,
I started out hating this class right off the bat because i was terrifyed. I couldn’t figure out how to create a blog, let alone do blog homework, and i seriously considered dropping it. But now im glad i didn’t. Although i just sat in the library for hours trying to get this portfolio done (and hopefully done correctly!), i am actually proud of myself for sticking with it.
Never have i ever been this challenged in a class in my entire college career, and i don’t think i will. It really sucked because this wasn’t my major, it was just a requirement, so i thought it shouln’t be harder than my core classes. But i’m glad that you made it difficult because now i feel prepared. I came into this class wanting it to help me prepare for grad school, and it definilty has. I may not know all the tricks, but i feel comfortable with my abilities now (even though they need a lot of work lol). I have learned sooo much and am more confident in myself, which is something i lack greatly.
I also really like your class because, we as students, could actually talk to you. Unlike other professors, you were more ‘humanized’ i guess. You weren’t put on a pedastal like other professors that won’t even give you the time of day. We weren’t just strangers sitting in your class. You got to know us and got us all to know each other as well. I really enjoyed your class, although i’m glad the work is over! Thank you sooo much for a great semester, and hopefully we can keep in touch.
